Baldovino Cousins win Silvers at State

5/16/09- Cousins Talissa and Ashley Baldovino each won silver medals at the Class 2A track and field championships at Western Oregon University.

Talissa finished 2nd in the 400m and Ashley did the same in the 1500m.



LV Boys win Lost River Invitational

4/21/09- Jonathan Squires won the 110m high hurdles to lead the Honkers to the team title in the Lost River Invitational.

Cousins Talissa and Ashley Baldovino each won 2 events on the girls side.

Honker Boys  take Lakeview Trangular Meet

4/7/09-Kyle Eversole won 2 events (100M, Javelin), to lead the Honkers to the boys title at the Lakeview Triangular.

Gabe Leal (1500M), Jonathan Squires (110 high hurdles), Ron Roberts (300 intermediate hurdles), Bryce Davis (high jump), Matt Holloway (pole vault), and the LV 4x400 relay team all took 1st place for the Honkers.

On the girl side, Talissa Baldovino finished 1st in 3 events, the 100M, 200M, and the 400M.

Other LV 1st place finishers were Lacy Vandenberg (1500), Ashley Baldovino (3000), Amy Ortwein (100 hurdles, and Taylor Christensen (300 hurdles).

As a team, the Lady Honkers finished 3rd with 48 points behind Chiloquin and Hosanna Christian who both had 48.5 points.

Talissa Baldovino wins 200m at Sisters Rotary Invitational

4/4/09- Talissa Baldovino took 1st place in the 200 meters at the Sisters Rotary Invitational. Talissa edged out Madelina Dinsmore of Burns with a time of 26.75. Talissa also finished 3rd in the 400.

Ashley Baldovino took 3rd in both the 800 and 1500, while Matt Holloway placed 4th in both the 400 and the pole vault for the Honkers.

The Sisters Rotary Invitational features 16 teams from Class 6A through 1A.
